I am broke.

Went to Gariahat today with the intention of buying 'Foe' (a Post-Colonial text), couldn't find it. Couldn't control myself around so many books either. Ended up buying Dominique Lappierre's 'City of Joy', and Dan Brown's 'The Da Vinci Code'.
I have bought four books this month- counting 'Dracula' and 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame', which I bought last week.
This promise of mine to buy and read more books is turning out to be slightly expensive.
I am SO broke it isn't remotely funny! :(

I have 'Foe', at home, right now. It's a bad photocopy of it, but I have it. You can just borrow it from me.

Btw, Foe is, according to me, the best text I've read so far in JUDE. A complete mindfuck. Absolutely brilliant. It may not make a bit of sense the first time you read it, but after you read it again it will become more clear. Or at least as clear as any postmodern novel can get. Which basically means each person who reads it makes their own bits of sense of it.

@ Doubletake, Doublethink: It's good? What's it about? Shall buy it next time I go, then.

@ Elendil: Thank you, but I find is SO difficult reading from photocopies or etexts. I shall buy the book.

Hmm.. alright. I had another look at it, and it's in fairly decent condition. So if any other UG1s out there need a copy, just ask.
