Winter Is Here.

Winter is here.
It's time for steaming bowls of soup, and the occasional plate of Momos. Time for shawls and sweaters, quilts and quiet evening walks in chilly air.
Time for badminton games, extra moisturiser and Christmas movie reruns on TV.
There is something comfortable and peaceful about winter. It has none of the harshness of summer, and none of the unpredictability of monsoon. It's all about enjoying an hours' extra sleep, wandering the by-lanes of New Market and picking up winter-wear, and snuggling up with a cuddly cat.

Ma and I, last year, post-Christmas celebrations. 'Tis the season to be jolly, indeed.

@ The Soliloquist: New Market! :-)

@ Leonardo: It was chilly when I wrote this. Now it's hot again. *sigh*

@ Storyteller: You can get them at New Market - they're awesome!
